The PRIDE ASSEMBLY focusing on EMPATHY for December is Wednesday, December 20 at 11:40a.m. and parents are welcome to join!
Our Food Inquiry continues! This week, students investigated different kinds of apples. They noticed that they were different colours and shapes. Together we asked, "Why are apples different colours?" Next week we will do some research to discover the answer!

This week in math, we introduced patterning to the students. They have been creating patterns in class and noticing them in our daily environment as well! The Full Day Early Learning Curriculum overall expectation is:
P4: explore, recognize, describe, and create patterns, using a variety of materials in different contexts
Take a look at some of our patterning!
D.M. and S.C.'s patterns with unifix cubes.
J.M.X.'s pattern with coloured bears.
M.I. makes a pattern with blocks and then uses apples to stamp it out on paper.
S.S. apple stamping pattern.
A.G. apple stamping pattern.
* Create patterns at home with different materials.
* Notice different patterns in your child's environment (e.g. wallpaper, tile work in your bathroom or kitchen, etc.)
